firefox is doing great… i still wonder how google’s gbrowser is going to effect firefox… but really the big question is how will it effect M$IE.

and then again you know… IE7 is on the way

i’m still using IE… waiting for G’s incarnation of the mozilla code but i respect the firefox movement and more competition is a great thing for innovation!

50 million downloads!! The internet is going to be much safer with Firefox.

I’m not too concerned about competition between Firefox and Google’s browser. As long as one of the two take over from IE, I will be happy.

Yeah, it is good FireFox got a head start on Google’s browser, because Google dominates in anything they do.

So hopefully FireFox will have a better chance of being a contender in the Heavy-Weight Browser Bout that is about to unfold. FireFox, now, is not so much of an underdog, if at all.

    Now Taking Bets!

Maybe that big 5-OH will help keep FireFox from becoming road-kill from the trucking Google-Year tire. Like I said, they seem to dominate in every thing they attempt.

I would like to know if there were/are any Google projects / ideas / ventures that were not as successful as expected.
I do not know of any failures or short-comings.

    • Gmail Killed, and then they DOUBLED the storage, that was just twisting the knife in all other webmail,
    • Maps are so Awesome! Even if you are not going anywhere, as Dubz blurbed us in Site Seeing in Your Undies,
    • Adsense & Adwords revolutionized online advertising, really changing it forever,
    • Froogle, seems pretty successful, it is like the pricewatch for everything,
    • Oh, yeah…the search engine too!

    What else is there?
Ah, the Google Appliance. This has been around awhile, I can remember it back when it was just a search engine & I started using it.

It looks neat, always has. It comes in a very cool-looking bright yellow one U rack mount case. And for me, this is one of the first network devices that I had ever seen that had this cool, fun, toyish look.

I think the appliance is intended for something like an educational or large corporate environment, act as a proxy for web browsing on the network, indexing and caching traffic and internal Intranet sites.

Really I’ve just answered my question that I was about to ask of what does it exactly do. An internal Intranet site would have way of being indexed by a search engine. Need to just go read on it instead of guessing…ha.

Bu$ter, do you know of any Google short-comings?

    Anyways, just some thoughts.
